Things to do in Harare

Harare is the capital city of Zimbabwe. A top notch city for plenty of places to visit. It has many attractions including African wildlife Safari's, Grand Plazas, Five star Hotels, Shopping Malls, National Gallery of Zimbabwe and different places. In this post i will share with you top places that you can visit in Harare.

Varden Safaris
A horseback Safari is a one unique experience that not many of us familiar with. If you want to ride on a horse in the wilds of Africa then Varden Safaris is your place. Varden Safaris are situated at Mavuradonha mountains location 180km north of Harare. The Safari projects include "Africa on Horseback", "Bat Caves", "Explorer Safari", "Horse and Hippo" and "Kingwa Valley". These projects will provide a lifetime experience of African Wildlife at horseback, moutain views and camps at hill tops. Camps will provide you comfortable sleep and food will be fresh and also hot bath tubs. This is the place you must visit.

Wild is life Grand Zimbabwe
Second in my list is Zimbabwe Safari for providing care to a number of Animals, entry fee is 85$ and you will find excellent refreshment and hospitality by the staff and Safaris members.

Thetford Game Reserve
Situated in Mazowe Valley ThetFord Game Reserve is a 40 minute drive from Harare; the reserve has got many animals including Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Water buck, Duiker,  Majestic Sables and Impala. It provides homes for more then 150 species of birds. In the surrounding areas there are many rocks with historical painting for a thousand years back.

Doon Estate
Doon Estate is a nice place for shopping local stuff, African arts and crafts. Take that all your way home to save the memories of the trip. Small cafe's will help you eat and drink local food and other beverages.
Khuimba Shiri Bird Sanctaury
It is a home for orphaned and injured birds. Gray Staff founded the park 20 years ago. Gray Stafford is a falconer documenting BBC wildlife documentaries including "Eagles" and "The life of birds". Visitors can also enjoy waterfront chalets while relaxing under Msasa tree enjoying the local music.

Lake Chivero
It is just 29km away from the capital city. It has many different species of fishes. Apart from that surrounding of the lake is a game park which got many kinds of animals including white rhinos, giraffe, eland, kudu and others which can be sighted from the top of the lake. There are camping sites and also many lodges for reserving rooms. Lodges are self catering that will provide a great spot for spending your day and see the wildlife from the small distance while enjoying the music of lake.
